Architecture Design of FIFA World Cup 2010 Soccer City Stadium – Johannesburg South Africa – by Boogertman Urban Edge and Partners

The Soccer City Stadium – Johannesburg will be used for the largest football competition in the world FIFA World Cup 2010, at the opening and the closing ceremony. This stadium will have 95 000 seat. Green Architecture Building of Taiwan Solar Powered Stadium by Toyo Ito

Located in the city of Kaohsiung, this Solar Powered Stadium designed by Japanese based architects Toyo Ito. This Stadium has the ‘green’ concept with 8,844 solar panels in the roof. The steel rod structure is shaped like a dragon, a creature associated with good fortune in Chinese culture, completed 50,000 seats.

In addition to the solar array, the designers have also attempted to limit the environmental impact of the stadium, committing to only use raw materials that have been sourced from Taiwan and are 100 per cent reusable. The site is …
