Sustainable House in Dabob Bay by Bjarko|Serra Architects

The Dabob Bay Residence as the name located on Dabob Bay Washington, conceived to engage and preserve the natural qualities of the site. Designed by Bjarko|Serra Architects, this house has very amazing views of natural around, such as forest, mountain and ravine. The building concept consists of 3 tiered elements: the entry in lowest section; the great room and living areas in mid-section; and the sleeping areas and reading room in the tower that serves as a lookout.  Each portion opens to the outdoors in different orientations.

Contemporary Prefabrication House of Bridge House by Max Pritchard

The Bridge House designed spans a rocky river creek dotted with red river gum trees by Australian architects Max Pritchard. Four small concrete piers, two on either side of the creek, anchor two steel trusses, which form the primary structure. Between the trusses is a concrete floor slab on steel decking with a layer of rigid insulation. Walls and roofing are made of plantation pine, and the exterior is clad with precoated steel panels.

Contemporary House Design of Highgate Hill Residence in Brisbane by Richard Kirk Architect

This is contemporary house design located on a south facing ravine adjacent to one Brisbane’s oldest ridgeline roads – Dornoch Terrace. This house designed by Brisbane based architects Richard Kirk collaborated with Keiron Gait as project architects.

The steepness of the rectangular site has resulted in a verdant and mature landscape consisting of a mixture of native and exotics, which created the opportunity to place the house within a rich landscape environment.
