Shaking The Hands That Build AmericaNovember 6th, 2013 - Posted in Misc
The Hands that Build America, the professional tradesmen, are the ones who are responsible for us having our homes, schools, businesses, churches. Being the backbone of everything else, they deserve our respect, our recognition, they deserve our handshake, and appreciation. And now for the third year in a row, thanks to IRWIN Tools, their contributions are also celebrated on the National Tradesmen Day on the third Friday of each September.
If you want to see how the professional tradesmen were thanked and their contributions celebrated last year, you are welcome to check out the website www.nationaltradesmenday.com.
But also this year, on September 20, IRWIN Tools is coordinating recognition events and celebrations throughout the country, preceded by a national television advertising campaign.
On August 24 they also celebrated the real working hands of America through the IRWIN Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, where John Teeples served as a Grand Marshal for the event.
John Teeples, an owner of a contracting company, says that “We make lives better by improving the places where we live. I think I can speak for most tradesmen when I say I love working with my hands. We’re proud that we can contribute to others through our trade and while the work is very rewarding, it also feels great to have people say, ‘thanks’.”
