The Agros Building used for an Electrical Generator at a Cement Factory in Yumbo Valle distric, Colombia. This building is Felipe Gonzalez-Pacheco project’s winner of an architectural contest for the resolution of a “skin” for a technical building containing an self generation electrical plant for cement factory. The Factory wanted to generate also a corporative image with the building. The RS+Yellow Furniture Building is an extension of the homebase storage and distribution centre by 7,000 sqm, renovated by BOLLES+WILSON. The new rectangular building volume stands adjacent to the original 1992 corrugated aluminium warehouse. This building reduced to a regular grid of pre-cast columns and wide span floor slabs. Facades are a standard lightweight concrete system. Verticality is emphasised with pyjama colour stripes interspersed with zinc coated grid stripes. These absorb all windows and necessary smoke outlets into an uninterrupted colour curtain.

The Winery of Casa da Torre located in Louro, Vila Nova de Famalicão Portugal. This building was design by Castanheira & Bastai Architects with true aspects of modern winery building. The roof structure in laminated timber is a simple one, despite the four stanchions that emerge from each pillar, to support the roof trusses. Steel cables are used to restrain the great horizontal thrust generated by the weight of the structure and roof finishes. The combined production and administration building for fiberglass manufacturer Fiberline, stands as a piece of identity-generating ‘countryside-art’ by the motorway close to Middelfart. Located in farm estate in the southern part of Berlin, Tim Bauerfeind and Henning von Wedemeyer from UTArchitects in collaboration with Matthias Lötscher and Ralf Grubert convert a 18th century farmhouse into a training center for carpenters. The basement of the farm house was dried up, roof and facades have been refurbished. Along with the restoration of interior wood fixtures some ancient wall and ceiling paintings have been exposed and restored. With the demolition of garages the new workshop building creates the original u-shape of buildings around the yard. …
